Structure organization

Eurolam society has an independent organization through every specialty sharing the same global vision. The team is orientated through the Executive Committee and Scientific Committee.

The Executive Committee is in command of the association responsibilities, management, and strategies. The Scientific Committee is in charge of the academic board and education.

The coordinators support the group activities, receiving guidance, mentoring and network.

Academic organization

Eurolam organizes symposium to promote the scientific exchange of knowledge between specialists. Eurolam organizes research studies and publications to grow up the knowledge in the ophthalmological society.

The academic organization in the symposium, in general principles, is organized as follows:

Speakers:
75% Honorary and Extraordinary members, professors
25% Extraordinary members, young ophthalmologists

Roundtables:
75% Honorary and Extraordinary members, professors
25% Extraordinary members, young ophthalmologists

The symposium is administered by the corresponding committees, being the secretary and the president the main responsible charges. The sessions will be selected through invitation or through volunteering. Contact to the corresponding committee should be considered in order to properly organize the symposia.

Research organization

The research organization in studies, in general principles, is supported by the corresponding committees.

Economic organization

Eurolam is a non-profit society and all the economic resources bound in benefit of the Society’s activities. The revenues come from the membership inscriptions, donations and the sponsorship of the industry.

The resources, in general principles, are organized as follows:

40% Eurolam congress
20% Eurolam activities
10% Eurolam support to young ophthalmologists
10% Society’s savings
20% administrative expenses and maintenance

The resources are administered by the corresponding committees, being the treasure and the president the main responsible charges. A financial report is presented by the General Secretary each year.
